When you are on holiday, or away on business, you want to feel safe in the knowledge that your pets are happy and content and that your home is protected. I now offer this service (through employees), where one would stay in your home, providing personal care for your animals and at the same time looking after your property, picking up your mail, watering your plants and any other general tasks that need doing.

I have carefully selected trustworthy and responsible people to carry out this service, all interviewed, referenced and all covered under my fully comprehensive insurance.

What the cost covers:

* Dog walking and socialising

* General house duties

*Keeping account of telephone calls and messages and forwarding them onto you (where appropriate)

I charge a flat fee of £30 per day for house sitting and pet sitting (up to 2 dogs, and a further £2.50 per dog per day) The £30 fee includes up to 5 small animals ie cats, rabbits etc. There are no "Hidden" charges, the house sitters provide their own food. A small fee will be added for travel allowance if outside of Portsmouth. This is 40p per mile and would cover a round trip. All bookings within Portsmouth are free of this charge.

As with all the services that i provide, i always offer a free consultation to meet the assigned house sitter and usually myself aswell. At this consultation i will go through the information sheets with you regarding all pets that are to be looked after. All their likes and dislikes, temperament, sleeping/ eating habits etc. We will also go through all aspects of the house sitting and the tasks that you require on a daily/ weekly basis.

It is also a good time for you to ask any questions regarding the carer or the house sitting process. Its all pretty straight forward and takes no more than an hour. If after meeting the carer, you are happy to go ahead with the booking, i require a £10 per day deposit, to secure the booking, which you can pay at the time of the consultation or you can forward onto myself. The booking is not secures until this deposit has been received. This deposit is non refundable. However if you do need to cancel, as long as you let me know within a week of the start of the booking, i will carry the deposit over for use with any future bookings.
